Stockton, Calif. - Numerous Pacific student-athletes partook in the 2012 Math Steeplechase Friday, April 20, teaching various sports to over 1,000 elementary children.
The Math Steeplechase is organized by the Benerd School of Education with the assistance of Athletics and the Physics department. Over 1,000 elementary children attend the half-day event, partaking in a math competition, physics experiments, a campus tour, and athletic activities.
"This is the third year that Athletics has assisted the School of Education in this great event," Associated Director of Athletics Holly Trexler said. "Our student-athletes came out in full force to volunteer and had just as much fun as the kids."
