Stanford, Calif. - With the calendar flipped to 2015, the Tigers kicked off the second half of their season with a loss at No. 7 Stanford on Saturday, Jan. 10. Overall, the Cardinal took the meet 171-83. The Tigers fell to 2-3 on the year in duel meet competition while the Cardinal remained undefeated at 3-0.

Taking on one of the top teams in the nation in their home pool, the Tigers attempted to keep pace with the Cardinal over a grueling 14-event day at the Avery Aquatic Center. Overall, the Tigers finest efforts came late in the day when freshman Stewart Harrison came up with a top three time in the 100 Fly. Harrison posted a time of 50.56 which came up just shy of his own season and team-best time in the event.

In addition to Harrison, sophomore Justin Ly grabbed a top-three time in the 500 Free when he touched the wall at 4:46.25. Previously, freshman Jonathan Pun had started the run for the Tigers as he grabbed a top-three finish in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:10.24.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday, Jan. 23 when both the men and the women head to UC Santa Barbara to take on the Guachos. The two sides square off at 12:00 pm.
