COLUMBUS, Ohio – After finishing just shy of an A-cut yesterday, the Pacific Men's 200 Free Relay team swam the same event in 1:17.29 Sunday afternoon to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship meet.
In order for the foursome, which includes Yahav Shahaf, Dylan Toy, Mason Miller and Miles MacKenzie, to compete for the national event Pacific will need an individual to also qualify. The field for the NCAA Division I meet will be announced on March 7 via NCAA press release.
Miles MacKenzie snagged another first place finish in the 200 Free with a time of 1:36.07, bettering his preliminary time by over eight seconds.
In the 50 Free, Kenna Ramey snagged a second place finish after clocking a season-best time of 22.96. Semaj Walker swam her best time of the day in the prelim (24.07) and finished the B-final with a time of 28.29.
On the men's side, Dylan Toy won the preliminary round with a time of 20.18, which currently ranks fourth on the MPSF top times list.
