Former Pacific OF Nick Longmire Up For MiLB Home Run of The Year

Longmire, who participated in the Tigers' Alumni Game on Oct. 15, is in the St. Louis Cardinals' minor league system, and hit a walk-off three-run home run on Sept. 11 to send his Quad City Bandits to the Midwest League Finals.
In three years at Pacific (2008-10), Longmire hit .343 with 44 doubles, 139 runs scored and 103 runs batted in. He ranks in the Tigers career top 10 in hits, doubles, triples, total bases, average, runs and RBI. The La Mesa, Calif., native holds the Tigers' single-season runs record with 60.
He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 5th round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft and hit .242 with eight home runs, 22 doubles and 42 runs batted in for Quad Cities in 2011.
