Ft. Worth, Texas - Taylor Murphy and Gio Brusa each posted two hits with a double, but TCU tallied a run in the seventh for 2-1 win over Pacific Friday at Lupton Stadium.

Murphy finished two-for-three with a double and an RBI while Brusa was two-for-four with a double and a run scored. Murphy singled home Brusa in the fourth for the Tigers' run. Senior SS Dustin Torchio added a two-for-four evening.

TCU picked up a run in the first off RHP Mike Hager, but the sophomore allowed just two hits over the next five innings to pitch into the seventh.

Pacific answered in the fourth as Brusa doubled to right center with two outs and after a passed ball moved him to third, Murphy hit a sharp grounder that was knocked down on the infield for an RBI single.

The Horned Frogs manufactured a run in the seventh, on a leadoff single by SS Keaton Jones, a sacrifice bunt and a two-out single from DH Boomer White for the go-ahead run.

Freshman RHP Nick Viola came in to escaped further damage, and added a 1-2-3 eighth.

In the eighth, senior SS Dustin Torchio singled, but Morrison again coaxed and inning-ending fly out.

TCU RHP Andrew Mitchell retired the side in the ninth for his first save.
