Arobio Selected By White Sox In MLB Draft

STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific righthand pitcher and all-time saves leader Vince Arobio was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 24th round of the 2017 MLB Draft on Wednesday.

Arobio posted a 3.86 ERA in 46.0 innings pitched in his senior season, recording seven saves and owning a 4-4 record. He struck out 44 on the season, an average of 9.43 per nine innings.

He did not allow a run in 14 of 24 appearances and threw multiple innings on 16 occasions in 2017. Arobio inherited 14 runners total on eight occasions and stranded nine.

With 17 saves in his career, Arobio holds Pacific's career record. In four years with the Tigers, Arobio logged 98.2 innings in 70 appearances with a 9-6 record and a 3.47 ERA.

Arobio was drafted last year by the Boston Red Sox in the 27th round last year.
