BELLEVUE, Wash. - Seattle tallied a pair of unearned runs in the ninth to come from behind and take a 4-3 win over Pacific Monday as the Tigers and Redhawks resumed play of their suspended game from Saturday. Dustin Torchio hit his first career home run while Jason Taasaas and Allen Riley added RBI singles.

After two days, the outcome was hardly worth the wait as Seattle scored twice in the bottom of the ninth for Pacific's second walk-off loss in the matter of hours.

Sophomore 3B Dustin Torchio (Santa Cruz, Calif.) hit his first home run of the season in the first inning, and freshman C Jason Taasaas (Elk Grove, Calif.) added an RBI single in the second before rain halted the game after three innings with the Tigers on top 2-1.

When play resumed, Pacific added another run in the fifth as Torchio doubled to right center. After a fielder's choice by Matt Carvutto (Poway, Calif.) retired Torchio, senior 1B Brian Martin (Livermore, Calif.) singled to through the right side to set up first and third. Junior RF Allen Riley (Fresno, Calif.) singled up the middle to plate Carvutto and put the Tigers up 3-1.

In the sixth, 3B Cullen Hendrickson doubled off the wall in right to open the inning for Seattle, and after a walk to C Josh Kutz and a sacrifice bunt, SS Nick Latta put a run across with an RBI groundout. Senior RHP Jake Hummel (Peoria, Ariz.), who took over on the mound when play resumed Monday, then punched out CF Bryndon Ecklund to end the inning.

In the ninth, 2B/SS Trent Oleszczuk singled with one out, and LF Marcelino Morales followed with a single to center to set up second and third. DH Doug Kincaid hit a fly ball to deep left, which went off the glove of junior LF Daniel Johnston (Portola Valley, Calif.) to tie the game. RF/3B Josh Kalalau then hit a grounder to short, but as the Tigers tried to turn two, the relay throw skipped wide of first base as Morales scored the winning run.

Hummel gave up six hits against four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work in his first appearance out of the bullpen this season, falling to 4-4.

Seattle's Seafth Howe went 3.2 innings, allowing one earned run in relief of Saturday starter Arlo Evasick (3.0, three hits, two earned runs). Conor Spink picked up the win (4-2), tossing the final 2.1 innings with two hits and no runs allowed.

Torchio and Riley each finished the game two-for-four, while Taasaas and Martin turned in two-for-three games at the plate. Carvutto finished two-for-five.

The loss dropped Pacific to 15-32 on the season, while Seattle improves to 20-25-1.
