Pacific Looks To Get First Big West Win Against UC Riverside

The Pacific men's basketball team will look to pick up its first Big West Conference win on Saturday night, when the team hosts UC Riverside. The tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The Tigers enter Saturday's game with a record of 4-9 on the season, 0-2 in Big West play. The Highlanders come to Stockton after a win on Thursday at UC Davis that took their record to 7-8, 1-1 in Big West action.

LAST GAME: The Tigers dropped a 73-69 decision to UC Irvine on Jan. 5.

 

RADIO:  All Tiger basketball games are broadcast live on KWSX (1280 AM) in Stockton ... Zack Bayrouty calls the play-by-play ... Air time is 20 minutes before tip-off ... COACH BOB THOMASON:  Former Pacific basketball standout Bob Thomason (Pacific '71) is 407-299 (.576) in his 24th season as the head coach of his alma mater ... Thomason is the Big West all-time wins leader, surpassing Jerry Tarkanian after the 65-57 victory over Utah State on Dec. 3 ... Thomason has 229 Big West wins, which is the most in league history ... Thomason was named CollegeInsider.com Big West Conference Coach of the Year in 2009-10 ... Entering the 2011-12 season, he is the 26th winningest active coach and ninth on the list of Most Seasons With Current School ...
