Freshman Byron Meth To Play In The Australian Open

Eastlakes, Australia - Earning the right to play against some of the world's top golfers, Pacific freshman Byron Meth will take part in the 2011 Emirates Australian Open which will take place from November 10-13 at The Lakes Golf Club.  The Tiger freshman earned the honor and exemption to play in the tournament with his victory at the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championships during the summer of 2011.

At the Open, Meth will be in one of the greatest fields of players ever assembled at the event. The star studded line-up includes Major Champions Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Fred Couples and John Daly, in addition to eight of the World's Top 20 players including Aussies Jason Day and Adam Scott and Americans Matt Kuchar, Nick Watney, Bubba Watson, Hunter Mahan, David Toms and Bill Haas.  

For Meth, his tournament will begin at 8:10 am (local time) on Thursday, November 10.  Meth will be paired with Daniel Fox and David Klein for the first round of action as one of 10 amateurs playing in the open in 2011.  To follow Meth's progress throughout the tournament, go to:
