2011-12 (Freshman):
Eric proved to be the Tigers' most consistent freshman in 2011-12 as the first-year player qualified for all 11 tournaments played by Pacific throughout the year. Sugimoto picked up one top-10 finish and three top-20 finishes during the season with his top finish coming at Bandon Dunes (Mar. 16-18). In Oregon, Sugimoto took home a 7th place finish as the freshman shot a 215, +2. His best scoring finish came at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational where he finished even-par at 213. During play at the Alister MacKenzie, Eric shot his best individual round of the season as he tallied a 69 during second round play.

High School:
Sugimoto came to Pacific after a four-year career at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, Calif. where he was a named a three-time All-CIF and First Team All-Palomar League golfer. Under Sugimoto's leadership, Rancho Bernardo took home the Palomar League Championship in 2010 during his junior season of action. In addition to his play on the high school links, Sugimoto finished second in the 15-18 Boy's Division at the 2010 FCG World Championships in which 268 players from 15 states and eight countries participated.

Eric Sugimoto is the son of Rie and Masao Sugimoto.  He has two younger siblings, Steve and Christina.  Eric is a business in his second year at Pacific.
