Santa Clara, Calif.-
The level of competition that the Tigers faced proved to be an experience as well as an opportunity for personal growth. Though the Tigers came up short with a final match score of 7-0 with a loss to the Razorbacks, the competitions were fierce and the Tigers remained determined throughout the duration of the match.
In the doubles matches, the Tigers secured the No. 2 position with ease as the duo senior, Ivan Castro and junior, Alex Golding dominated their match earning a final score of 8-5 against their opponents. Though the other two doubles teams did not prove victorious, they seemed motivated to begin their singles competitions.
As individual play began, the Tigers kept up with the Razorbacks matching them point for point. Then as the mathces progressed the Tigers yielded the victories to Arkansas.
Following the match, Coach Redondo reflected, "This 7-0 loss was a lot closer than the score however, the score was a great indication of how we lost; Arkansas simply out competed us. We better learn from this kind of match because there were valuable lessons learned for each individual Tiger today to improve this team for the tough schedule we face throughout this season. We are hungry for our next opportunity."
Pacific will now prepare to face Santa Clara in Bronco territory on February 26th.
