Men's Tennis Falls To Middle Tennessee State

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team fell to Middle Tennessee State Monday at Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, 4-0.

Miguel Diaz and Ross Watson were leading their singles matches that ended unfinished.

The Blue Raiders won the doubles point as Tom Moonen & Gonzalo Raschiatore posted a 6-0 win over Tadiwa Chinamo & Alex Giannini at first doubles, while Nathan Hampton & Bernardo Oliveira fell to Max Rauch & Nicolas Machado, 6-3. Diaz & Watson went unfinished against Gian Issa & Miguel Fernandez at second doubles.

In singles, Raschiatore topped Chinamo at second singles, 6-4, 6-2, while Rauch posted a sixth-singles won over Lance Ngo, 6-1, 6-3.

Fernandez rallied for a third singles win over Giannini, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, to clinch the match for the Blue Raiders.

Diaz was leading Moonen, 7-5, 1-6, 5-2 on the number one court, while Watson was up on court four against Luis Diaz, 6-7, 7-5, 1-0.

Bryan Husin and Gian Issa were in progress, 3-6, 7-6, 0-1, on court six when match went final.

Pacific falls to 6-7 on the year, while Middle Tennessee State improves to 5-8 on the year.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday against San Francisco in the West Coast Conference opener. First serve from Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center is set for 1 p.m.
