Tigers Aced by Pilots

PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of the Pacific men's tennis team fell, 4-0, to the University of Portland on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers fall to 6-16 on the season and 3-5 in conference play, while the Pilots improve to 11-8 overall and 6-3 in conference.

In the doubles competition, Ross Watson and Mikayel Khachatryan were tied 4-4 with opponents Carlos Donat and Jamie Fisher before Portland grabbed the doubles point.

In singles, Tadiwa Chinamo went three sets before dropping his match on court 2. Chinamo tied his court, 1-1, taking the second set 7-5 before falling in set three, 6-1, giving the Pilots the victory, 4-0.

Pacific returns home to host the University of San Diego in the final match of the regular season on Saturday, April 21 with first serve set for 1:00 p.m.
