Tigers Among Top 10 in Regional Rankings

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's tennis program continues to be represented among one of the top teams in the Northwest Region according to the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings.

The Tigers, who are set to return all but one player from last year's squad, rank ninth among 17 teams in the Northwest Region and are third among West Coast Conference members, trailing just Portland and Santa Clara.

In 2017-18 Pacific men's tennis finished 6-18, 3-6 in WCC play and earned a berth to the WCC Championships in Claremont, Calif.

In addition, Pacific was placed 22nd in the Top 25 Mid Major Recruiting rankings. The mid-major rankings in tennis include all colleges in all divisions except for those in the five power conference, including the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, PAC-12, and SEC - as well as the Ivy League.

In doubles, Akram El Sallaly and Bernardo Oliveira rank seventh in the region after going 4-7 as Pacific's No. 1 doubles team.
