Five Tigers Recognized In Big West All League Awards

Stockton, Calif. - Five of the seven Pacific Tigers were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the team this season.  These selected five include Artem Gramma, Ivan Castro, Fernando Ristow, Tomasz Krzyszkowski, and Alex Golding.

Senior Artem Gramma was selected for the First Singles Team All League for his outstanding play in singles, filling in at different positions and succeeding.  He has performed as one of the leading Tigers on the team and his dedication, discipline and strategy earned him this particular honor.

Junior Ivan Castro was chosen as one of three Tigers to be on the Second All Conference Singles Team.  Throughout the season, Castro proved to be a major asset for the Tigers with confident forehands and a game-winning strategy.  In addition to his singles award, Ivan was also chosen to be on the Second Doubles All League Team along with partner Alex Golding who also competed with a great deal of finesse.

Team captain and senior Fernando Ristow was also chosen for the Second Singles All Conference Team for his passion and respect for the sport in addition to his confident ability in himself to excel against his opponents.  Ristow had a solid season in both singles and doubles and was a definite asset to the team.

Sophomore Alex Golding was selected to be on the Second Doubles All Conference Team along with partner Ivan Castro for their ability to come together to implement a game winning strategy that highlights the strengths of both players. Golding is a new member to the team this season and has proved to be a great addition to the Tigers tennis program.
