Five Tigers Named To Men's Volleyball MPSF All-Academic Team
Woodland, Calif. - With the announcement of the 2011 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic team the Pacific men's volleyball team was well represented as the Tigers put five student-athletes on the academic team as announced on Wednesday, June 1. Earning five spots on the all-academic team the Tigers put juniors Florian Gornik, Chaz Hindsley and Nicolaas Schenk, sophomore Patrick Tunnell and redshirt-freshman Adam Troy among the top student-athletes of the MPSF.
The criteria needed to be selected for this academic honor is to have a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average. The student-athlete must be a sophomore who completed at least one academic year at the school prior to the season for which the award is being honored. They also need to have competed in at least fifty percent of the school's competition in the sport.
