Simon graduated in 2004 from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill. Named the Trevian's team captain his senior season, Simon was named a Fab50 player his senior season. To go along with the honor, Chen-Byerley was named to the All-Illinios State Second Team. Simon is the son of Lillian Chen-Byerley and David Byerley. He has one older sister and one younger brother, Victoria (23) and Max (17). In his third year at Pacific, Simon is majoring in business.
