2013 (Redshirt Senior):
Balazs Szabo scored 21 goals in 28 game for the Tigers, including six multi-goal games. He tallied two goals each in wins over No. 3 Stanford and No. 1 USC, propelling the Tigers to the top spot in the polls. Szabo scored a season-high three against Pepperdine, and added a goal in the Tigers' NCAA semifinal win over Stanford.
Szabo utilized his redshirt option during the 2012 season.
Returning for his third season at Pacific, Szabo provided instant offense off the bench for the Tigers. He tallied 14 goals in 26 games, recording a hat trick versus Redlands on Sept. 25 before going for a pair of goals against Pepperdine on Oct. 16. Szabo also recorded 14 assists to go along with nine steals, seven drawn ejections and eight field blocks.
In his second year at Pacific, Szabo appeared in 28 games for the Tigers while scoring a season-high three goals against Bucknell on October 24. He finished the year leading the team in assists (60) while tallying 17 goals, 17 assists, six steals, and three field blocks.
Szabo appeared in 26 games for the Tigers, recording 25 goals, 12 steals, and 19 assists. He notched three goals in Pacific's season opener against MIT on Sept. 5.
Szabo graduated from Arany Janos A'lt-Iskolae's Gymnasium in Budapest, Hungary, where he was a three-sport athlete in water polo, basketball, and swimming.
Szabo is the son of Peter and Agnes Szabo. He has one older brother, Peter, who is currently a member of the Hungarian Junior National Team. In his third year at Pacific, Szabo is studying business.
