Amy VanHollebeke enters her second season as an assistant coach for her alma mater in 2011-12.

A guard on the Tigers for two seasons, VanHollebeke was team captain in each season at Pacific. She played point guard for the Tigers, running the offense for the team as an extension of the coaching staff. One of the top point guards in the Big West during her two seasons at Pacific, Amy finished her career with one All-Big West selection, earning the honor as a junior as she earned honorable mention honors.

In her first year at Pacific, VanHollebeke led a Tiger attack that ranked No. 1 in the Big West, scoring 69.2 points per game. With VanHollebeke at the point, the Tigers ranked No. 3 in shooting percentage at .409 and No. 4 in assists 13.86 per game with Amy dishing out 3.41 assists per game.

As a senior, VanHollebeke and the Tigers' finished the year second in the conference in scoring at 64.0 points per game while Amy posted 3.80 assists per game, a mark good enough for third in the Big West. Prior to Pacific, Amy played two seasons at Chico State, where she led the Wildcats to two straight Division II NCAA tournament appearances, including a Final Four appearance and a school record 14 consecutive wins as the Wildcats' starting point guard her sophomore year in 2006.

During that season, Amy averaged 9.8 points per game while dishing out 3.4 assists per contest. Amy graduated in 2009 with a degree in sport management from Pacific. Although she left the program after her senior year, Amy did not leave Pacific.

She has been working on her master's degree in sport sciences, and interned with Ted Leland, University of the Pacific's Vice President for External Affairs.
