Stockton, Calif. - Former women's basketball player, Gillian D'Hondt, will play in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia in March of 2006 for the English National Team. D'Hondt will follow in her father's footsteps by competing in the games as he was a gold medalist in crew for the English National Team.
D'Hondt currently plays for the Coca-Cola Rhondda Rebels of the English National Basketball League. The Rebels have been one of the most successful programs in women's professional basketball in England since entering the league in 1998. Currently, the Rebels hold the championship trophies for the National Cup, the League and the Playoffs in 2005.
