Pacific Field Hockey Adds Another Committment

Stockton, Calif. – Pacific Field Hockey has added another with the commitment of Michaela Schuette. The forward from Bear Creek High School in Colorado will enroll in the fall and begin competing with the Tigers this upcoming season.
Schuette was a four-year letterman for the Mustangs and led her team to a 14-2 record her senior season of 2010. In that year she was her team's captain, while scoring 14 goals and notching 13 assists. Schuette was named the MVP of her team in her final two seasons with Bear Creek, and wasnamed First Team All-State and All-Conference in 2010. Her field hockey squad reached the state final in 2007 and went as far as the semi-finals in 2009 and 2010.  In 2009, she was Second-Team All-State and All-Conference for the Mustangs.
Head coach Linda MacDonald is thrilled about adding the forward saying, "Michaela deferred her admission for a year to travel in Europe, and I am very excited that she decided to attend Pacific and play hockey." She added, "Michaela is a tough competitor with a lot of speed and quickness in the forward line. She is concerned about how taking a year away from hockey will affect her, but I am confident she will be ready to go."
Pacific Field Hockey will take on UC Davis this Sunday, April 15 beginning at noon on Brookside Field.
