Stockton, Calif. – Dinah Compton, Melissa Maultsby and Emily Tregoning of Pacific Field Hockey have been selected to compete on the California High Performance team that will represent California at the Women's National Championships on June 1-8.
The trio of Tigers will team with eleven other athletes on the campus of the University of Maryland competing for a national championship. The High Performance training centers identify and train potential National Team athletes through comprehensive training and skill enhancement sessions, as well as premier level competitions.
The training centers identified the three after their work last season. Compton was constantly bothering opposing teams last season with her persistence of getting to the cage. She finished the 2011 season with two assists while placing 16 shots on goal. Maultsby tallied four goals and one assist last year, while putting 17 shots on net. Tregoning was an all around team leader for Pacific last season and collected one defensive save, while starting all 17 games.
