Nov. 3, 2010

Davidson, N.C. - Pacific field hockey senior Kelly Perkins (Gilroy, Calif.) and junior Amanda Spellman (Gilroy, Calif.) each earned All-NorPac Conference honors as the league's annual awards were announced on Wednesday night. They each were named to the NorPac Conference All-West Division Team.

"I am very proud that they were selected. I can't think of two most deserving players in a difficult season," said head coach Linda MacDonald. "They have both been leaders for their teammates in their area of the field. Kelly leading the offense, and Amanda leading the defense."

Perkins leads the Tigers with 35 shots this season, and is tied for the team lead in points with 12. She has scored five goals on the year, adding two assists. Two of her goals came against No. 2 Maryland.

Spellman is tied for second on the team with two assists this season. She also has a defensive save for the Tigers, helping anchor the defensive side of the field.
