Tigers Edged In Exhibition Game At Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team fell to Sacramento State in an exhibition road match as the Hornets came up with a 1-0 win on Friday.

The first half was even as the first 45 minutes of play went scoreless. In the second half, Sacramento State got on the board first in the 48th minute of play as the goal was scored by Kylee Kim-Bustillos on a cross from 12 feet out and a after a few volleys, the ball hit the top of the box and went in.

Pacific answered with a shot on goal from Samia Adam, but her shot hit the crossbar as Pacific trailed 1-0 in the second half. Adam finished the night with three shots for Pacific, while newcomer Nott Jonsdottir added another shot on goal.

Regan Heslop got the start in goal and played the first half, recording three saves. Freshman Henriikka Makela played between the posts in the final 45 minutes, registering a pair of saves.

At the end of 90, 21 Tigers saw action on the field in the only exhibition match of the season.

The Tigers will open the regular season at home on Friday, August 18th against Fresno State at Knoles Field in a 7:00 p.m. start time.
