Entering her third season as the Tigers' pitching coach, Hancock joined Pacific's coaching staff prior to the 2010 season after finishing her pitching career at UC Davis in 2009. In two seasons guiding the Tigers' pitching staff, Hancock has helped put the Pacific in the top-three of the Big West in every important pitching category. In 2011, the Tigers' finished third for the second-consecutive season with a 3.20 ERA, .20 points better than the previous season. In addition to their marks as a team, under Hancock, the Tigers put a pair of pitchers on the all-conference team in 2011 with sophomore Nikki Armagost earning her second straight first team honor while freshman Tori Shepard earned second team honors. The year prior, Armagost was named the Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year under the guide of Hancock.

As a player, Hancock was a three-time all-conference honoree in the circle for the Aggies and enjoyed immense success in the circle throughout her five years at UC Davis. As a senior, Jessica led the conference with 172 strikeouts and was fifth in ERA (1.85). She also finished with 13 wins, five shutouts and 14 complete games. Her efforts earned her a spot on the All-Big West honorable mention team. As a junior, Hancock posted 17 wins with 225 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA in 43 appearances. For her play, Jessica was named a First Team All-Big West pitcher, earning her second-straight first team honor after picking up First Team All-Division I Independent honors.

A native of Long Beach, Calif., Jessica earned a bachelor's degree in communication from UC Davis in 2009.
