Seven Questions With Softball's Amy Moore

Dec. 8, 2010

Stockton, Calif. - The Tigers sophomore catcher Amy Moore talks about Pacific's upcoming softball season, the team and plans for the year and the future.

1. Heading into your second season in the Spring, what are your expectations for the team in the new year?
As a team we have set both team goals and individual goals on what we would like to accomplish this year. If we stick to our goals and play as a team we WILL make great things happen!

2. Having played one full season, what are some things you want to accomplish personally?
I would like to improve my hitting. Being injured this Fall I was able to work a lot on my mental game, but now that I am able to play again I have been working with my coaches to improve my hitting.

3. What is something you enjoy the most about playing at Pacific?
I'm sure if you have been to a practice you can tell, but we all individually have something quirky about us and that's what makes practice and being a part of the program so much fun! I love my team and how well we all get along.

4. In your time off the field and out of the classroom what are some of the things you like to do the most?
I really enjoy scrapbooking, photography, and being with my family.

5. If you didn't play softball what would you be doing?
I also played basketball throughout high school. So if I was not playing softball, hopefully I would be playing basketball at the next level.

6. You're a business major in your second year at Pacific, however, for fans who don't know, you come from a family of police officers. Have you ever thought about becoming an officer when you graduate?
Yes, most people have no idea, but that is my plan once I graduate college. I am hoping to get my Masters in Business Administration and then join the Los Angeles Police Department. Specializing in Narcotics and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).

7. What does it mean to you to be a Tiger?
There are so many answers to that question, but the most important one to me is being a family. Every team is so supportive of the other teams in the department and there are always athletes attending the different events on campus.
