Freshman (2010-11):
Shillington placed 13th in the 200 Back (2:04.30), 14th in the 500 Free (5:03.49), and 18th in the 200 Free (1:53.24) at the 2011 MPSF Championships to conclude an impressive first year for the Orange and Black. She was also a part of the 800 Free Relay (7:33.39), 200 Free Relay (1:35.69), and 400 Free Relay (3:29.67) teams that finished sixth, seventh, and seventh at the championships, respectively. Shillington opened the year with second-place times in the 200 Free (1:55.04) and 500 Free (5:05.56) at the Pacific Invite on Oct. 15 and 16 before winning the 200 Free (1:55.75) and the 200 Back (2:08.18) against Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 30. She finished first in the 200 Back (2:08.61) in the Quad Meet on Nov. 6 and first in the 500 Free (5:04.31) at both the Tri Meet on Jan. 22 and against UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 29.
Oaks Christian HS (‘10):
Shillington graduated from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif. She was named the Tri-Valley League Swimmer of the Year as a junior and senior, and was an all-county selection from 2008 to 2010. An All-America honoree as a junior, Shillington was also her team’s MVP from 2008 to 2010.
Personal:
Shillington was born in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and is the daughter of Sandra and Todd Shillington. A sport management major, she lists her hobbies as going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
