A 2011 graduate of Granada Hills High School in Granada Hills, Calif., Levanen excelled for four seasons as a Highlander. Currently in the midst of a playoff run, Levanen and her Highlanders finished her senior season with an impressive 33-4 overall record while capturing the West Valley Volleyball League title with a perfect 10-0 record. Hanna led er team to the CIF section championship and a berth into the state championships after recording a 23 kills and 18 dig performance in the section championship match. For the year, Levanen accumulated a team-best 414 kills as she averaged 4.3 kills per game while hitting an impressive .430. As a junior, Levanen was just as dominant as she led Granada Hills to the Division I CIF championship on her way to all-city and all-league honors. In addition to her high school accolades, Levanen is a member of the powerhouse Legacy Volleyball club. In 2011, Hanna and her Legacy teammates qualified for the Junior Olympics held in Reno, Nevada to become the first girl's team in Legacy Volleyball history to qualify for the tournament.
Hanna Levanen was born in Northridge, Calif. and is the daughter of Sirpa and Jouni Levanen. She has one sister, Emma. In her first year at Pacific Hanna is majoring in speech language pathology.
