Stockton, Calif. - Continuing her playing successes on the professional level after a stellar four-year career at Pacific, former Tiger standout Svenja Engelhardt has made an immediate impact for her professional club, SVS Post Schwechat, in just her first year of action. A member of Austria's First League, SVS Post Schwechat is also a participant in the European Cup and most recently the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) Cup.
Starting and playing all six rotations for her club, Englehardt helped lead SVS to the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup in January to finish as one of the top-8 teams in the European competition. The CEV Cup has established itself as the second-best club championship tournament in Europe, falling just behind the Champions League.
In addition to European club championship competitions, Engelhardt and SVS are gearing up for a championship playoff run in the Middle European League as they currently sit in first place in the league. Playoffs for the Austrian club title begin at the end of February with SVS positioned to make a deep run in the postseason.
