Match Notes - Redhawk Invitational

Hitting the road for the first time in 2014, the Tigers head north to Seattle University to take part in the Redhawk Invitational. The Tigers will take on Seattle (1-2), Oregon State (3-0), and Lafayette (1-3) while in the Pacific Northwest as they look for their first tournament title of the season. The tournament will feature both new and familiar faces for Pacific as they take on a Seattle team for just the second time and a Lafayette for the first time while the Tigers have a long history with Oregon State. For the Tigers and the Beavers, the meeting will be just the eighth time the two teams have faced on the court, however, Pacific will be facing the architect of its program, Oregon State's head coach Taras Liskevych, who built the Tigers from 1976-84.

All matches at the tournament will be streamed live online for the public to watch along with all matches featuring live stats. The links for the matches will be made available at the start of each match.

The Tiger enter the weekend 2-1 on the young season after finishing second in their home tournament behind #5 USC. Looking for their fifth straight title at their home tournament, the Tigers came up just short as #5 USC was able to outlast the Tigers in a five-set match to end the weekend. Prior to the loss to the Trojans, Pacific the Tigers dominated UALR (3-0) and Rider (3-0) for their first two wins of the season. Sophomore Lexi Elman and freshman Katrin Gotterba were named to the all-tournament team at the conclusion of the weekend. Elman led the offense while Gotterba was the top libero.
