Pacific Cross Country Finishes Eighth In Mills College Invitational

Oakland, Calif. - The Pacific Cross Country team earned an eighth place finish in the Mills College Invitational Saturday, September 18th 2010 in Oakland, Calif. Marina Ota (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) led the way for the Tigers with a 31st place finish.

Ota ran a strong time of 22:02. "Marina Ran really well," said Head Coach Josh Jones. "We didn't run Melissa (Hopper) or Jazmin (Quiroz) because they are running next week at Stanford. She finished right where I wanted her to."

Kirstin Kita (Torrence, Calif.) also had a strong showing for the Tigers. "She (Kirsten) ran really well," said Jones. "She is way ahead of her time from last year."

The Pacific cross country team will next be in action Saturday, September 25th at the Stanford Invitational. The race gets underway at 9 a.m.
