Pope joins Pacific after two successful seasons as an assistant coach at Long Island University. While there, he helped guide LIU to a NEC Conference title, producing 10 All-Conference First Team members. 

Prior to his time in New York, Pope served as the head coach of his alma mater Ottawa University. He spearheaded the recruiting efforts  alongside his coaching duties, while having oversight in all realms of operation of the team. He helped guide his team to consecutive appearances in the conference finals in his two years at the helm.

Pope got his coaching start as a graduate assistant at University of Jamestown during the 2019-20 season. He is a 2019 graduate of Ottawa University, where he earned his bachelors degree in exercise science with a concentration in coaching. He played on the Braves' men's volleyball team, where he was named a NAIA All-American and Newcomer of the Year along with All-Conference Setter accolades in 2017-18.
