PORTLAND, Ore. – The 2019 West Coast Conference (WCC) #WCCREPRESENT Award Winners were presented to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee of the University of the Pacific.

Also earning the honor was Brigham Young University.

The #WCCREPRESENT award recognized efforts on campus to best support the hashtags initiative to enhance the student-athlete experience. The two institutions were recognized for their dedication to being an amazing representation of their conference, their institution, their team and themselves.

The award was presented this week in conjunction with the Executive Council and Presidents' Council meetings at the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon. Accepting the award for Pacific was women's soccer player Nikki Leishman.

The #WCCREPRESENT campaign is the West Coast Conference's sportsmanship campaign, which encourages the elevation of teams during competition rather than negative behavior. Since its launch in 2009, the #WCCREPRESENT campaign has transformed into a conference-wide celebration of WCC student-athletes' competitiveness, character and commitment to "representing" themselves both on and off the playing field.
