Ricupito played in 16 games with eight starts for the Tigers. He notched a career-high two hits against the University of Hawaii (4/2). He finished the season with five hits and four runs scored. Ricupito was named to the WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
Did not appear in any games during the 2017 season.
Ricupito made it into three games in his first year. His first career appearance was a start against April 26. Ricupito managed to pick up two hits, including a double, in that game while scoring a run and driving in a run.
Ricupito hit .405/.510/.493 his senior season at Monte Vista High School in his native Danville, California. He led the Mustangs in every hitting category and put up 32 hits in just 27 games, scoring 17 runs and driving in 19 more. Ricupito was a unanimous First Team All-League selection in the East Bay Athletic League that season and was runner-up for MVP. He was named Second Team All-Bay Area and Third Team All-State. The Mustangs went 10-4 in the EBAL that year, winning the league. Ricupito had a cumulative GPA of 4.2 upon his graduation.
Ricupito is the son of Mike and Jana. His father played baseball and football for San Jose State and is now an associate professor at Pacific's Dugoni School of Dentistry. Ricupito plans to go into orthodontics just like his father and is majoring in business law.
