Pacific baseball camps announced

Pacific baseball will host three separate camps this winter that will cover a wide variety of aspects of the game. Tiger coaches and players will host the UoP hitting camp and prospect camp in December, and a Pitching and Catching Camp that will run from January to February. All three camps are open to any and all high school aged players.

UoP Hitting Camp:

Dates: Dec. 4th, 11th and 18th

Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Cost: $99

Location: Klein Family Field batting cages beyond the right-field fence

Players must provide their own equipment

This three-week camp is for high school hitters and combines both mental and physical aspects of hitting. Students will follow the same hitting progression and principles that our Tiger hitters go through and will get to use the same technology and machines that Pacific's team uses. The goal is to simplify the process of hitting and educate players so that they can become the best hitters possible. Pacific assistant coaches Chris Rodriguez and Mike Reuvekamp, along with Tiger players, will run the camp.

Prospect Camp:

Dates: Dec. 27th and 28th

Cost: $199

Location: Klein Family Field

Players must provide their own equipment

This camp is a unique opportunity for prospective college baseball players to be seen closely by our coaching staff here at Pacific.  Every player will get individualized quality instruction in order to improve their game and get their game to the next level.  The coaching staff will cover all aspects of the game during the first day of the camp.  During the first day of the camp, players will get a taste for what daily practice life is like here at Pacific.  The second day of the camp will allow the players to showcase their talent in a game atmosphere.

Pitching and catching camp:

Dates: Each Tuesday from Jan. 8th to Feb. 5th

Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Cost: $199

Location: Klein Family Field batting cages beyond the right-field fence

Players must provide their own equipment

For Pitchers:

This camp is a unique opportunity to study the art of pitching the Tiger way.  Pitchers will learn about visualization, advanced warm-up, throwing progression routine, high-level bullpens, proper arm care maintenance, conditioning program, and PFP's.

For catchers:

This is an advanced catching camp which is run in conjunction with the Pitching Camp.  Players will be run through many advanced drills focusing on receiving, blocking, throwing, and what it takes mentally to be an advanced catcher.
