The Last Time Out
The Tigers enter Friday play after having snagged a 74-65 road win at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville to open the season this past Tuesday.
Pacific took a quick 16-0 lead to open its game against the Cougars and pulled away to a 19-point lead to wrap up the first half of play. Then in the second half, SIUE battled all the way back within four points with just 1:57 left to play in regulation. Tigers went 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the final 00:43 to earn the nine-point victory.
Leading Pacific's offense was Lafayette Dorsey. After missing the final six contests last season, Dorsey came out strong, matching his career-high in points (18) and in assists (3). Defensively, Anthony Townes led the Tigers with seven rebounds. Jahlil Tripp had a well-balanced game with six assists, five points and five rebounds.
Nevada Wins Opener
The Wolf Pack enters Friday's contest on the heels of a significant 86-70 home victory over BYU. Nevada and BYU each scored 34 points the first half, but the Wolf Pack was exceptional in the second half, shooting 51,7 percent from the field en route to outscoring the Cougars, 52-36.
- Tigers lead the overall series with the Wolf Pack, 55-48. Nevada earned a win in the last three meetings.
- Navada is led by preseason All-America selection Caleb Martin, who scored 21 second half points against BYU on Tuesday night.
- Cody Martin dished out 11 assists.
- Jordan Caroline claimed his first double-double of the season with game-highs of 25 points and 16 rebounds in the 2018-19 opener.

Pacific's 62-56 win on Feb. 4, 1993 stands as the Tigers' most recent win versus a Top-10 ranked opponent (UNLV ranked #10).
