Pacific Finishes The Goodwin with a +17 Day

PALO ALTO, Calif. - After 54 holes, The Tigers finished in 20th place at The Goodwin this weekend, finishing +53 overall after going +17 today.  The host and No. 12 nationally ranked team, Stanford won the tournament, topping the rest of the field which included seven other nationally ranked teams in the top 50 including No.1 Southern California.

Casey Scott had a strong front nine as he parred eight of the nine holes including a birdie on hole five for a -1.  He also had back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 to finish +5 on the day with an overall score of 75.  Scott closes out the tournament with a +15.  

James Feutz finished first for the Tigers with his +7 score in the tournament and tied for 36th place.  After going +3 on the first nine holes, he shot par on the back nine to remain at +3.  Today, Feutz finished with another 73, matching his second round score from yesterday.  

Geoff Fry had a +5 on the day, his second best day of the tournament.  He finished with a third round score of 75 and +19 to conclude the weekend.  Daniel Peña shot +1 through the first nine this morning sinking a pair of birdies on the first and eighth holes and ended up with a +4 on the day.  He shot a 74 today and a +19 over the course of the tournament.  

Tyler Burnes greatly improved from the first round after shooting a +6 today with a day three score of 76.  Burnes finishes The Goodwin at an overall score of +23

The Black and Orange will be in action next on Monday, April 10th and Tuesday, April 11th as they head to Provo, Utah to play in the PING Cougar Classic.
