Men's Golf Opens Price's Invite Friday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's golf team heads to El Paso, Texas, for Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational opening Friday at Butterfield Trail Golf Club

The sixth edition of the tournament is set for three rounds on the par-72, 7,307-yard course at Butterfield Trail, with one round per day starting Friday.

The Tigers are participating in their third tournament of the fall, with Price's Invitational taking the place of the Paintbrush Invitational at Denver, which was snowed out.

Pacific is joined in the field by Air Force, Army, Marquette, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, San Jose State, Southern Utah, Texas State, UMKC, Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Western New Mexico and host UTEP.

The Tigers' lineup will feature Casey Scott, Daniel Peña, Jee Horsangchai, Austin Fox and Beau Forest.

Forest enters the Pacific lineup for the first time this season after finishing 14th at Nick Watney Invitational as an individual participant, shooting a +6, 219.

Horsangchai owns the Tigers' top average among the five Tigers who've played in both events this fall, with a 74.5. Scott is right behind at 75.67. Peña - who drilled the Tigers' lone eagle thus far this season - is tied with Forest and Anthony Madrid for the best rounds of the season, each owning one round of 70.

Live scoring for Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational will be available via GolfStat.

Price's Invitational is the Tigers final tuneup before the 2017 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on October 26-28 at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
