EL PASO, TEXAS - Austin Fox's final round 69 helped the Pacific men's golf team shoot up another two places in the standings of Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational Sunday.
Austin Fox posted five birdies and 10 pars in his final round to move up to 12th place on the individual leaderboard with a final tally of 214, +1.
The Tigers finished ninth in the tournament at 888 over three rounds. Pacific's Sunday score of 293 shaved six strokes off Saturday's score.
Casey Scott added a 72 third round on Sunday, with three birdies. He finished 30th with a three-round total of 220, +7.
Beau Forest completed his third round in 75, as he holed a pair of birdies to shave three strokes off his Saturday score. For the weekend, he finished at 232, +19
Daniel Peña also had a pair of birdies on Sunday, and finished with a third-round 77. His three-round 228 was +15 for 61st place.
Jee Horsangchai also turned in a third-round 77, as he posted a birdie on the eighth hole and finished the tournament 63rd at 229, +16.
"Austin is building confidence every round he plays," head coach John Cook said. "He played very steady this week. Now we're looking forward to our home tournament this next week. We're excited for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational."
The Tigers will host the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Thursday through Saturday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
