Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Opens Thursday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific golf team returns to its home course for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational opening Thursday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

The 19-team event gets started at 8 a.m. Thursday for the first of three-rounds at the 54-hole event. The par 72 course of 7,082 yards at The Reserve awaits the field of Boise State, BYU, Cal State Northridge, Denver, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Nevada, Oregon State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Jose, Santa Clara, Seattle, South Dakota, Temple, UC Irvine and UC Riverside and host Pacific.

Santa Clara, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Nevada, CSUN. Temple, San Jose State, and Fresno State tee off first at 8:00 a.m., followed by Pacific, Seattle, Boise State, Oregon State, Sacramento State, Irvine and Riverside at 8:50 a.m.

Pacific will enter 10 players in the event, with the Tigers' team of Casey Scott, Austin Fox, Jee Horsangchai, Daniel Peña, and Beau Forest teeing off on the front nine at 8:50 a.m.

The second unit of Anthony Madrid, Jesper Kasanen, Taiga Fujii, Mateo Leon, Julian Rippert will tee off on the back nine at 8:50 a.m.

Kasanen, Fuji, Leon and Rippert will be seeing their first action of the 2017 fall season. Madrid and Forest will be in their third events of the year, while Scott, Fox, Horsangchai and Peña have entered all four events on the Tigers' fall calendar.
