WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – The Tigers men's golf team wrapped up play at the 37th-annual Amer Ari Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Pacific shot +19 on day three to finish with a 900 (+36) for the 54-hole event. No. 2 ranked Oklahoma State snagged the tournament trophy after shooting 47-under.
Daniel Pena led the Tigers for the first time, scoring a 76. Austin Fox, who had team-best 68 in the second round of the tournament, Jee Horsangchai and Beau Forest each shot six-over (77) in the final 18 holes.
On the weekend, Fox led the Tigers' five-some, shooting 76-68-77 for a total score of 221 (+5). Forest finished just behind with a 224 (+8), while Horsangchai rounded out the top three performances with a 227 (+11).
The men's golf team will have about a month break before traveling to Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove for the Sacramento State Invitational. The event will be played over two days from Mar. 5-6.
