Horsangchai Leads Tigers on Day One of WCC Championships

SANTEE, Calif. – Junior out of Barton Community College, Jee Horsangchai, leads the Pacific men's golf team at the conclusion of the first round of the West Coast Conference Championships at Carlton Oaks Golf Club in Santee, Calif.

The Tigers are currently eighth after the first 18 holes with a combined score of 300 (+12).

Horsangchai registered a 72 in the first round to place himself in a tie for 12th with BYU's Rhett Rasmussen, Saint Mary's Pavan Sagoo, and Pepperdine's Sahith Theegala.

"After his triple on hole 12, Jee had a great finish, with birdies on both the 17th and 18th holes," said head coach John Cook. "I was very proud of his birdie on a tough 18th hole, he had two great shots to three feet."

Only five strokes separate the top and bottom of the Tigers' lineup. Casey Scott is currently tied for 28th at three over-par (75), followed by Austin Fox (76, +4), Anthony Madrid (79, +5) and Daniel Peña (79, +5).

Pacific will open the second round with BYU and San Diego. All three teams will begin teeing off at 7:50 a.m. Live stats are available via Golfstat.
