STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's golf team wrapped up day two of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. Pacific (572, +4) currently sits in tenth place after shooting a four over-par 288 Friday afternoon at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.
Teams currently ahead of the Tigers include: BYU (550, -18), Nevada (552, -16), San Jose State (553, -15), San Francisco (554, -14), Saint Mary's (555, -13), Long Beach State (557, -11), UC Santa Barbara (565, -3), Sacramento State (568, E), and UC Irvine (570, +2).
All 16 teams and 10 individuals will close out the tournament this Saturday. The first tee time is set for 8:00 AM, but the Tigers will tee off beginning at 9:30 AM.
Jee Horsangchai led the way for the Orange and Black. The senior shaved two strokes off his round-one score (71) sinking three birdies on the front nine and another three on the back nine to finish with an even par total for the day.
Austin Fox had a good stretch on the second half of his 18 as he drove in three straight birdies on holes 12-14 and had a total of five on the day. The Folsom, Calif. product finished the day at three over for a two-round score of 144. Fox currently leads the field at -7 in par 5 scoring.
Casey Scott had a productive day staying under par through 17 holes but shot four over on the final two holes of the day to secure an even 71. He enters round three currently tied for 24th, leading all Tigers with a 141 total score. Scott has 10 birdies on the weekend.
