Tigers Travel North, Set To Play in El Macero Classic

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team will play in its final regular-season tournament this weekend in Davis, Calif.

 

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

El Macero Classic

Course: El Macero Country Club (El Macero, Calif.)

Par • Yardage: Par 72 • 7,108 yards

When: Friday, April 12, 2019 - Sunday, April 14, 2019

Format: 54 hole event - three 18 hole rounds to be played over consecutive days.

Participating Teams: Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Oregon State, Nevada, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, Texas Tech, UC Davis, and Washington State.

HITTING THE GREEN
The Tigers traveled the following five players for this upcoming week's tournament:

  1. Austin Fox
  2. Casey Scott
  3. Jee Horsangchai
  4. Daniel Peña
  5. Beau Forest

 

LAST TIME OUT

  • The Tigers hit the links for the first time since traveling to Oregon for the Duck Invitational on March 25 and 26. 
  • Pacific struggled at the cold-weathered event, finishing 16th overall among some stellar Division I squads. 
  • Tyler Burnes finished with a team-low 230 (76-74-80) in the 54-hole event. 
  • Casey Scott, despite a disqualification in his first round, recorded a team-best round score of 73 in his final 18 holes. 

 

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Pacific has recorded five top-10 finishes in 2018-19, including top-five finishes in two of the Tigers last four events. 
  • Austin Fox and Casey Scott lead the Tigers' with stroke averages of 73.00 and 73.73, respectively. Fox also leads Pacific with four top-20 finishes and two eagles.
