EL MACERO, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team wrapped up its regular-season spring schedule on Sunday afternoon with a 13th place finish at the UC Davis-hosted El Macero Classic.
The Tigers shot 313 as a team in their final round to conclude the 54-hole event with a 914 (305-296-313).
Winning the tournament was Texas Tech with an even par (864). Texas Tech's Sandy Scott claimed individual medalist honors by just one stroke, shooting a stellar three under-par 213.
Austin Fox shot even par (72) for the second-consecutive day to secure a team-low 219 on the weekend. Fox finished even on Par 3s and Par 5s en route to a total of 32 pars. In addition, he totaled nine birdies and was one of 10 golfers to sink an eagle.
Despite shooting an 80 in his final round, Jee Horsangchai also put together a good performance after finishing as the Tigers top shooter on Friday and Saturday with scores of 74 and 72, respectively. Horsangchai compiled an overall score of 228.
Pacific will rest for one week before heading into postseason play. The West Coast Conference Championships are set to be played at the Tigers home course — The Reserve at Spanos Park — from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.
