Camden Riley earns WCC Player of the Week

Pacific's senior midfielder Camden Riley was named as the West Coast Conference's Player of the Week today after his performance in Pacific's match against San Francisco on Friday night. Riley had a goal and an assist to help to the Tigers to a 4-0 victory of the Dons.

Riley played a pivotal role on Friday night at Knoles field by assisting on the game-winning goal and scoring one of his own. In the 22nd minute, Riley played a ball through the midfield to cut open San Francisco's defensive line with a surgeon's precision to junior Jonathan Jimenez who simply had to pass the ball into the net for the game's opening goal. It was Riley's third assist of the season. In the second half, Riley found himself on the end of a cross from freshman Ryan Her that he pocketed into the back of the net to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead. It was Riley's team-leading sixth goal of the season and his second-straight game with a goal and an assist.

This is the second time this season that a Tiger has been named as the Conference's Player of the Week. Jimenez earned the honor on September 24 when he shared the award with Remi Prieur of Saint Mary's. This is also the first time in Riley's career that he has been named as the WCC's Player of the Week.

Riley and the Tigers are back in action this weekend when they hit the road to southern California for matches against Loyola Marymount on Friday and San Diego on Sunday.
