STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific men's tennis team closes out the regular season at home for Senior Day hosting #44 University of San Diego on Saturday, April 21. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
The Tigers enter the contest at 6-16 overall and 3-5 in the West Coast Conference.
Bernardo Oliveira, the lone senior, holds an 9-6 record overall and is 4-3 in conference play. In the last 10 matches, Oliveira has finished 4-3.
The Toreros come to Pacific with a 12-8 record and are 6-1 in conference play.
August Holmgren leads the singles competition with a 20-7 record overall and ranks 75th in the nation. Nico Borter is right behind with a 17-10 record on the season and has finished 5-2 in the last 10 matches.
In doubles, Borter and partner Gui Osorio rank 65th in the nation and own an 11-4 record overall. They have gone 6-4 in the last 10 matches. Holmgren and teammate Joel Gamerov lead the doubles teams with a 15-7 record and rank 81st in the nation. The duo has finished 6-4 in the last 10 matches are on a two-match win streak.
