Tigers rack up more wins at Oregon

Pacific men's tennis put together another nice day at the Oregon Duck Invitational with more wins in singles play.

In case you missed it:

  • Phillip Hjorth picked up another win in the main draw of singles play over Portland State's Matteo Fortini, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. However, he fell in the semifinals to Oregon's Ty Gentry after nearly picking up the win in the second set, 7-5, 6-7(9), 6-2.
  • Ross Watson advanced to the consolation draw finals thanks in part to an early retirement from Lucas Castelo Branco. In his next match, he defeated Oregon's senior, Ethan Young Smith, 6-1, 6-4. He will play Tom Hann in the finals tomorrow.
  • Nathan Hampton lost in his consolation bracket match to Portland State's Tommy Edwards, 6-0, 6-4.
