Tigers fall on the road to Pepperdine, 4-0.

Pacific men's tennis (4-12, 1-3 WCC) dropped a West Coast Conference match on the road in Malibu to Pepperdine (7-8, 1-1 WCC), 4-0 on Friday.

Pepperdine took the doubles point with a 6-1 win on court three and went on to win a close match on court one, 6-4 to take an early 1-0 lead. Pepperdine went on to win matches in singles on courts five and four before eventually clinching the match with a 6-3, 6-0 win on court one.

Junior Tadiwa Chinamo played in one of the closest matches of the day on court three, but was nearing defeat in a 6-3, 5-3 match before the Waves clinched the match. On court six, Nathan Hampton played in a close first set, and won 7-5. He was up in the second set, 4-1 when the Waves clinched the victory. Freshman Philip Hjorth took the first set against Enrique Luque Rico 7-6 before his match went unfinished.

The Tigers wrap up a road trip tomorrow with a match in Los Angeles against Loyola Marymount starting at 1 p.m.
