February 16 is a special day for the Pacific women's basketball program. Help us make it an extra special day by being on hand to send off our incredible senior class while helping raise awareness for breast cancer and donating to a good cause.
Saturday the 16th is the final home game for the Tigers this season; they take on Santa Clara in a 2 p.m. game. The contest will be the final home game for Tiger seniors, Ameela Li and Chelsea Lidy. The game also coincides with the annual Pacific Plays Pink Game in which the team wears pink jerseys to raise awareness for breast cancer.
You can be a part of the day too. During warm-ups, the Tigers will wear special pink warm-up shirts and for a minimum donation of $150.00, you can have the last name of someone impacted by breast cancer placed on the back of a specific Pacific player's warm-up shirt. All proceeds from warm-up shirts will be donated to the Hospice of San Joaquin County. The reserved shirt can be picked up after the game with your specified player's signature on it. The deadline to reserve your warm-up shirt is Feb. 8. Please contact basketball administrative assistant, Linda Vasquez, at 209-946-2341 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, see the flyer at the top or bottom of this page.
On the 16th, we will also honor Tiger seniors Ameela Li and Chelsea Lidy in a pregame ceremony in which there will be a brief introduction of both players and their families as well as a video to honor their stellar careers.
Following the game, you can help send them off yourself by joining us at the Alex & Jeri Vereschagin Alumni House on the campus of Pacific for drinks and appetizers with the current team as well as women's basketball alums. The event is $20 and free to women's basketball alumni. To RSVP, contact Linda Vasquez at 209-946-2341 or by email at email@example.com. For more information, see the flyer at the top or bottom of this page.
